"Diesel VS Diesel"

Yes, I am working on a Diesel VS Diesel video review. I strongly suspect it is going to be very one sided, particularly as it seems the Hornby model has been discontinued (and finding one from the last few years proving very difficult!)

The Bachmann Diesel has seen a few Youtube video reviews, all I will say is that my initial impression of Donald & Douglas remains steadfast for the moment in the "best of" stakes.

However I think there's another issue Bachmann needs to address with the latest influx of the models in question, and that is partially retooling older models in their range. More on that in a separate video, in the future.

Until next time!

  1. Argos had him for 29.99 but now seems to have gone...

Some cheap ones have turned up on Ebay however...

Or maybe, if Knuckles provided Spencer for you, maybe he might have a spare unconverted Diesel, just a thought....

  2. I agree with your thoughts that the Diesel review will be very one-sided.. Bachmann's done an excellent job on him from what I've seen.

Does this mean that the Henry review is to be pushed back again? Not complaining or anything, just wondering.

  3. What do you mean by the last paragraph?

  4. I vote for next month's review: Gordon the Express Engine

  5. When is the Henry review coming? Before or after the Diesel review? I vote for next month's review to be a stand alone review on The Diesel.

  6. If that's the case, I'll be more than happy to wait for your review, no matter how long it takes.

By the way, have you ever thought of using the Hornby Dart or Hornby Murdoch models for a stand-alone review? They look incredible!

  7. You can also get Diesel in some Modelzones, though they don't stock on the website. Maybe e-mail or telephone the individual stores, it's the same with Stepney.

  8. I vote for standalone of dart
